If the EZ Connect technology is anything like mine, it’s only 3 sections that need to be connected followed by a plug. There’s no hassle with the tree dying & becoming a fire hazard or making a mess. I know there are some “real tree” die-hard’s, but I gotta tell you……it takes about 10 minutes to set the tree up. If I remember correctly it was about $300 at the time & it has already paid for itself when compared to a real tree. It was a GE brand at the time but it was just about the same thing as this one. We purchased our artificial Christmas tree from Costco in 2016. I’ve strolled through Home Depot & Lowe’s & the tree’s look fake & feel cheap. I do realize that $299 is expensive, but when you compare the quality to the big box stores, I really think this is worth it. You may not be able to get a large Christmas tree topper, but you can still put something on top. It stands at 7.5 feet tall so it’s perfect for homes with 8 foot ceilings. These lights have 1,000 LED lights per 75 feet which makes the lights super close together. I found them at Holiday Warehouse in Plano and I have shopped other stores and online and I cannot find anything comparable. I bought two strands of the best LED lights around. She was in better shape than my big tree, but had some outages as well. I started with the tree in the family room. So, more Christmas tree lights was my solution. ![]() They were so expensive when I bought them and I considered a real tree, but I wouldn’t be able to put that up as early. I certainly didn’t want to throw these trees away and start from scratch. I knew I wasn’t going to get every light working on both trees, so I decided I would try out adding additional lights to my trees. Anyway, I did manage to get some lights working with the Light Keeper Pro and I replaced as many burned out lights as I had replacements on hand. It has saved so many lights over the years. If you have a pre-lit tree and don’t have a Light Keeper Pro, you should get one now. Like I do every year, I got work with my Light Keeper Pro.
